The R.E1 FS is Rotwild’s 175mm-travel gravity enduro bike (Rotwild)
The likes of Cube, Focus, Rose, Ghost and Canyon are all doing big business in the UK so it was about time that one of the first German bike brands to hit these shores, Rotwild, made a comeback.
Back in the 1990s it was Rotwild’s downhill bikes that ruled the roost but they have a full range of cross-country, all-mountain and gravity enduro rigs, plus road bikes, too. The latest models are now available in the UK thanks to York-based Fluid Fin Distribution, who’ll be selling direct via their website. They also have a small demo fleet available for test rides.
There are five mountain bike ranges – C (cross-country/light trail, 100-120mm travel), R (cross-country race, 110mm), X (all-mountain, 150mm), E (gravity enduro, 175mm) and RED (downhill/freeride, 175-220mm). Check out our image gallery for snaps of some of the key 2012 models, ranging from the £1,899 R.C1 Comp hardtail to the £8,299 R.R2 World Cup carbon race bike.
